Level: Advanced beginner/Intermediate (able to spin a continuous yarn and ply)

Description:
Have you been tempted to buy different dyed braids of wool but now you’re not quite sure what to do with all of them? How about combining them into a knitted sweater? Or woven fabric for a jacket? Join Alanna as she helps you explore all the color possibilities when combining 2 or more different dyed and undyed fibers. You will leave this workshop with a new excitement for spinning down your stash!

Cable plying
Marled yarns
Carding
Tips & tricks when working with combed top
Prerequisite skills needed:
Participant should be able to spin a continuous yarn and have basic plying knowledge/experience (plying a yarn from 2 bobbins)
Materials needed:
To participate in optional spinning exercises you will need:
2 braids of dyed tops (1 oz from each will be plenty)
3-5 bobbins if using a traditional wheel/e-spinner
A tensioned lazy kate
Hand carders (optional)
